Lots of New things!!

Hello!

I don’t know about you, but I am sitting here wondering how it is already August?! It’s been a great year for J. Graeler Photography so far and we want to share a few updates with you!
Back to school prep is in motion and before we know it fall will be here along with cooler days and all of the holidays quickly following. Of course we are suckers for the fall season and holidays, so we are planning ahead for Fall and Christmas mini sessions. We have been given the approval for Pumpkin Patch mini sessions and are working on getting approval for Christmas minis at a Christmas tree farm!  The upcoming mini sessions we be very limited sessions so if you are interested please let me know and I will make sure you are scheduled as soon as the info is released. I do not have the final pricing and dates nailed down but these will be a lower price point than a normal photo session and will include a few digital photos for download and the option to purchase all the final digital files from your session. That way if you are only looking for a few for Christmas cards/gifts this will be perfect! Two weekends will be planned for both fall and mini sessions.

Speaking of future sessions, with upcoming weddings and fall photo sessions already booked, the rest of 2015 will have very limited photo sessions available. If you are planning any session, or even considering a session of any sort please touch base with me ASAP!

JGP is now offering a digital download option for all photo sessions. This simply eliminates the need for a dvd of the photos. A pro to this would be you get your photos instantly with your download code to your computer. The con to this, you do not have a physical DVD of the photo sent to you as a backup. I cannot stress enough to backup your photos, or save in two separate computers no matter if you choose digital download or have a DVD of them. There are great free services to store you photos online, dropbox, amazon prime members, icloud, online backups, etc. Going forward when your session is complete I will include a password for digital download in email and if you prefer to have the DVD just let me know and I will get that mailed to you. **Reminder: JGP only keeps your photo session photos for 6 months. All weddings are kept for one year. I cannot stress enough to burn extra copies of the DVDs, get prints or books made, save to an online backup. I hope to never hear that someone lost their photos after JGP has gotten rid of them.
Referrals are a great compliment to our work. As a thank you to anyone who refers someone to J. Graeler Photography, they will receive one free 8×10 of your choice after the referred person’s session is complete. If a wedding is booked from a referral, the person who referred the bride and groom will get $35.00 to put toward your next session!

Mr. & Mrs. Jarolimek

Have I said before we love weddings? You don’t have to have the big wedding and reception to have a wedding right? Todd and Emily got married at the courthouse so they decided a session at the old courthouse in the county they are married in was perfect. It is much a neat building and it fit them so well.

Although it rained a ridiculous amount of rain after this session which put a damper on the outdoor party that was planned, at the end of the day they are still married and happy.
Congratulations to Todd & Emily and thanks for letting JGP capture your wedding day!

Edelen Wedding

Have I mentioned before we love weddings? I love how each couple and each day is so different!

Louie and Skyla are adorable and so sweet together!
Louie adores Skyla and there really is something magical when they are together.

During the speeches and dances there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, including Sam.
This was also a special wedding as Skyla is my cousin.

Although it rained so we were limited for photos, I think we got a lot of great photos.
This was such a fun group of people and they had a great wedding party.

Pabst Wedding

The Pabst wedding was beautiful! We had great weather and Forest Park was a great spot for photos!

Stefan and Cassi are adorable and there is a certain sparkle in Stefan’s eyes when he sees Cassi.

We started with photos at Forest Park by the Muny and ended at the brewery for the ceremony and reception!

Schutt Wedding

As our first wedding of 2014, we were SO excited and could not have asked for a better start for our wedding season!

Ronnie and Whitney were amazing!

They had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family.

The venue was great and offered a beautiful setting for the reception as well.

As you can see from the photos this couple is meant for each other! Ronnie looks at Whitney in the sweetest way, and she looks at him the exact same way. Sometimes you just know you are with the right one!

We got to ride our first trolley with a wedding party, which was good and out came some fun photos. The entire wedding party was great and we could not have asked for better weather for April!

Thank you so much Ronnie and Whitney for letting JGP be part of your wedding day!

We wish you and your family the best!

Congratulations!

The rest of their First day can be seen on our website 🙂

St. Charles County Parks and session issues

Only a few days left to lock in your packages before the price increase on June1st. To lock in your pricing, payment must be received by June 1st.

There is also another issue I wanted to make sure everyone is aware of, St. Charles County parks are banning photographers from shooting any sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sundays, which are the most popular days for sessions. Several other photographers have been emailing about this issue but nothing has changed yet. They are requiring permits (which I applied and was approved for), but only approved permits can shoot Monday-Thursday with ZERO props. Please take a second to email any questions and concerns if you wish to parks@sccmo.org.

County parks are as follows: Broemmelsick Park, Heritage Museum, Hideaway Harbor Park, Indian Camp Creek, Louis H. Bangert Memorial Wildlife Area, Klondike Park, Matson Hill Park, Quail Ridge Park, Towne Park, and the Youth Activity Park.

As most of you know, we shoot at the local parks very often, and have never had an issue, nor left any sort of mess at all. Either way, we have to make adjustments to the schedule and find new locations to shoot. This is where you come in! If you know of any local areas that could be a nice place to shoot (those cool hidden places that not everyone knows about) please share!

Also, I am looking for any sort of personal property in Warren/Lincoln/St. Charles County that the owner would be open to discussing JGP to be able to shoot sessions there. Of course we could work with that person and respect all property and schedule, but I would love to find a local spot. So if you or someone you know would be interested please contact us at JGP. There is always stuff in it for property owners! I would be highly interested in spots with a lake, barns/out buildings, farm areas, bridges, even just a location with a great tree line and SHADE! Shade is #1! Any leads on this would be fantastic!

If you have a session booked at any of those locations, I will be in touch shortly to move locations.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support!!
